THE OPTIMIST CLUB’s OF FREEHOLD SCHOLARSHIPS:

(A) The Sunrise Optimist Club of Freehold Ray Favocci Memorial Scholarship: One (1) scholarship in the amount of $1,000
(B) The Sunrise Optimist Club of Freehold Peter J. Saker, Sr. Memorial Scholarship: One (1) scholarship in the amount of $1,000
(C) The Sunrise Optimist Club of Freehold Joseph Salkin Memorial Scholarship: One (1) scholarship in the amount of $1,000
(D) The Sunrise Optimist Club of Freehold Special Recognition Scholarship: One (1) scholarship in the amount of $1,000

Qualifications:
The student must be a senior in good standing at an accredited High School within the Freehold Regional High School District (or a private high school located within the same geography), with both a confirmed acceptance and declared intention to enroll in an accredited two or four year college. An application must be completed on Applitrack and include general background information. It should also provide a list of extracurricular and community activities.

The student must prepare an original essay one to three pages in length; this work must be solely the work of the author. This essay should help describe their community service activities, their goals, their scholastic achievements and why they feel they should be considered for this scholarship.
Although not necessary to receive a scholarship award, students may choose to submit up to three (3) letters of reference in support of their application and essay.
